Emperor Appoints Ian Sosso to Advisory Board
Calgary, Alberta, October 5, 2012 - Emperor Oil Ltd. (TSXV: EM) announces the appointment of Mr. Ian Sosso, MSc. (the "Advisor") to the Company's Advisory Board.
Mr. Sosso is the founder and managing partner of Monte Carlo Capital, a firm focused on investment in small, private equity transactions in the real estate and commodities sector in Asia. Before starting Monte Carlo Capital in 2009, he was the Regional Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets in Asia for Commerzbank.
Mr. Sosso started his financial career in 1993. Since that time he has worked in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong with HSBC, UBS, JPMorgan and most recently with Commerzbank. During his investment banking career, Mr. Sosso's main area of expertise was to structure derivatives transactions across asset classes. He has done work in most Asian countries, and has advised a broad range of clients ranging from hedge funds to governments, large corporations and private banks. At Commerzbank, Mr. Sosso managed all capital markets activities in Asia; including Equity Derivatives, Credit, Precious Metals, Foreign Exchange, Debt Capital Markets, as well as the Treasuries of HK, Singapore and Shanghai. Mr. Sosso is a citizen of the Principality of Monaco and holds a MSc. in Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE).
